Ideomed, a start-up medical technology company funded by Spectrum Health, were in need of creating an asthma-education activity/workbook for elementary-aged children. My role was to create a character that could appeal to both boys and girls, a storyline that could incorporate the asthma educational information, the illustrations, and format the 150+ page book ready to print. The book included numerous illustrations and page layouts that preview the technology (iPhone, iPad, and computer) their hardware and software products operate on.
The majority of the content was created during an intensive 2-day off-site work session with the Ideomed team and polished in post-production within a couple weeks time, successfully meeting their deadline.
